A license key can contain one or more activations. When you activate a license key on a computer, the activation is tied to the computerID. If you change the computer's name after activation, the license will need to be reactivated to function properly. An EasyView license can only be activated on the number of computers for which the license is valid. If you want to switch computers, you must deactivate it first. You can do this within the software. If you’ve already uninstalled EasyView or don’t have access to the computer, you can use the Manage My Licenses function online to deactivate it from there.
Each user can activate and deactivate licenses independently in Easyview or by program switches.
The license can be stored either at the user level or “all users” The latter applies to all users and requires administrator rights. It is possible to have two different licenses active simultaneously, one “all users” and one at the individual user level. EasyView first checks for a user license, and if none is found, it will use the "for the entire computer" license. To activate or remove an all user license, you need to start EasyView as an administrator.
At the first startup the activation window will pop up and can later be found in the "About EasyView" section. EasyView will ask whether to begin a 30-day trial of the PRO, if you have an activation key or if you want to activate in a browser for computers without internet access.
Enter your information and click on Activate.
Once you click Close, EasyView will shut down, and upon the next startup, you will have access to the features included in your license.
It is possible to activate and deactivate a license from the Windows Command Prompt.
You need to be in the EasyView program folder. The default path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intab\EasyView11
To get there, you may need to switch drives. If you're not on C:, type: C:
Then type: cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Intab\EasyView11\
To deactivate a license, type: EasyView11.exe /DEACTIVATE
To activate a license, type: EasyView11.exe /ACTIVATE LicenseKey
where you replace "LicenseKey" with your actual license key.
Note that there is a difference when you run activate and deactivate from an elevated Command Prompt (run as administrator) or a regular prompt. Read more about that here.
To activate EasyView on a computer without internet access you need the computer ID of the system where you want to activate.
To activate a license, click on Manage License (blue box in the image). Then, click Activate my license... and enter your activation key in the dialog box.
Click Activate. Note that this requires an internet connection.
Once you click Close, EasyView will shut down, and upon the next startup, you will have access to the features included in your license.
