Updated Appearance
In the latest version, we’ve worked on updating EasyView’s appearance to make information easier to read. There are fewer, more subtle lines, making it easier to view the data. The program also takes up less space in some areas, which is very helpful for smaller screens like laptops.
Averaging
EasyView 12 introduces an averaging function, allowing you to select a period (e.g., 1 minute, 1 hour, or 1 day), and EasyView will help you calculate the average for that period. With averaging, you can easily get an overview of your measurements, view larger time periods, or filter out noise.
The image above shows the same measurement (every 10 minutes) over a quarter, without averaging on the left, and with a 1-day averaging period on the right.
Display Min and Max
A great addition to averaging is the “display min/max” function, which plots a semi-transparent curve showing the highest and lowest values for the averaged period. This way, no information is missed, and if you want to investigate further into periods with high maximums or low minimums, you can easily shorten the period or turn off averaging.
Display Separate Chart for Each Axis
This function separates your units/y-axes to make the charts easier to read. All curves with the same unit will appear on that axis. It can be used with or without averaging and min/max display.
Auto-scaling Y-Axes
Do you prefer one or more of your y-axes to adjust automatically to the graph's values? Right-click on the y-axis and enable “auto-scale.” Perfect for switching between different periods or zooming in! Ideal for those who like to zoom using the mouse wheel.
Choose What Your Templates Should Include
In EasyView 12, you get more control over what’s included in a template. You can also apply a template as a default that loads on all documents automatically.
Number of Decimals
New in EasyView 12 is the ability to standardize the number of decimals. You can specify it per channel, per unit (e.g., 0 decimals for ppm, 1 decimal for %RH, and 2 decimals for temperature), or set it as a default for all channels.
Standard Appearance and Number of Decimals
You can now apply your template settings as a default template for all upcoming documents. You can also define a preset number of decimals for new documents, either as a general choice or defined per unit.
Copy Process Monitor
Want to use the same or a similar process monitor on multiple tabs? No problem – you can now easily copy a tab’s process monitor and reuse it on other tabs.
CLI Export - Export via Command Prompt
Now, you can export data from your EasyView files directly from the command prompt and even export multiple files at once. You can also control how the content is exported.
Key Figures in the Info Table
The figures presented in the info table are based on the time segment shown in the time chart. Headings like min, max, and average are calculated from the data visible in the time chart and will change if you zoom in or out.
Data Security in EasyView
EasyView does not allow once-collected raw data to be altered by the operator. In the Information Table, you can activate columns that provide information to ensure data integrity by indicating the source and any post-processing. Here, you can see details about data origin and whether values have been processed.
“Type” can include the following information:
"Data Source" may indicate:
"Serial Number" specifies the logger’s serial number, if available.
"Transform" indicates the two points used to linearly transform a signal’s values. If no transformation has been applied, it will show N/A.
Available Languages in EasyView
The available languages in EasyView are Swedish and English. The language is selected based on the computer’s regional settings. If the computer’s default language is Swedish, it will be used; otherwise, English will be applied. To change the language, go to the Control Panel on your computer, then to Clock, Language, and Region. Click on Region and, under Format, select Swedish (Sweden) or another option if you prefer to use EasyView in English.
You can also switch languages by sending a command with a program switch from the command prompt. The examples below assume EasyView is installed in the default path. If EasyView is installed elsewhere, you’ll need to adjust the path.
Start by closing all EasyView windows.
Enter the command below:
To switch to Swedish:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Intab\EasyView11\easyview11.exe" /swedish
To switch to English:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Intab\EasyView11\easyview11.exe" /english
You can also run the command from "Windows Run" (hold down the Windows key and press 'R').
